Đến thời điểm này, nhiều trường THPT trong cả nước đã tổ chức cho học sinh đăng ký môn thi kỳ thi THPT quốc gia:với mục đích thăm dò nguyện vọng để có căn cứ tổ chức ôn tập.

On the night before you receive your first college response, we wanted to let you know that we could not be any prouder of you than we are today. Whether or not you get accepted does not determine how proud we are of everything you have accomplished and the wonderful person you have become. That will not change based on what admissions officers decide about your future. We will celebrate with joy wherever you get accepted — and the happier you are with those responses, the happier we will be. But your worth as a person, a student and our son is not diminished or influenced in the least by what these colleges have decided.

Việt Nam cần cải thiện chất lượng và tính phù hợp của nền giáo dục đào tạo ở các trường THPT và dạy nghề để đáp ứng tốc độ tăng trưởng việc làm nhanh chóng cho nhóm lao động kỹ năng trung bình khi Cộng đồng Kinh tế ASEAN (AEC) ra đời vào cuối năm 2015.
Đó là khuyến cáo do ILO (Tổ chức Lao động quốc tế) vừa đưa đưa ra.

Việt Nam có số lượng lễ hội "vô địch" trong một năm nhưng lại đang đứng ở nhóm cuối trong khu vực về năng suất lao động.

On a frigid February afternoon, 60 Columbia University graduate students from anthropology to zoology crowded into a meeting room to brainstorm how to persuade Columbia to recognize and bargain with the labor union they are struggling to form.
The group said it had gotten 1,700 of Columbia’s 2,800 graduate teaching and research assistants to sign forms saying they want to unionize. More than 100 marched recently to the office of Columbia’s president to present those forms and demand that the university recognize them as a labor union. But Columbia has refused, saying that treating students as employees could hurt their education.

Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism is reducing its class size and cutting staff positions as demand for journalism schools across the country dwindles.
The school plans to decrease enrollment over the next several years and will eliminate about six staff positions before the next school year, according to an email sent Wednesday to staff members and full-time faculty from Steve Coll, the dean of the school.

I always tell people to take risks. In the early part of your career, you can afford to make mistakes, even big mistakes. You go down one path, and you can reverse from it. It won’t make much of a difference.
And I’m not talking about financial risks. You should move from function to function within the same organization as quickly as you can to get a well-rounded understanding of the business. I’ve given opportunities to so many people who raise their hand and say that they want to do something different.
So I like to tell people try and do that as much as you can within the confines of what your company can offer. Raise your hand if somebody says, “Is anyone willing to take this job?” Take it. Be visible. Be seen. If you’ve got a good idea, don’t keep it to yourself.

Last year, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 46 percent of recent college graduates were in jobs that don’t even require a college degree.
The biggest frauds are for-profit colleges that are raking in money even as their students drop out in droves, and whose diplomas are barely worth the ink-jets they’re printed on.
America clings to the conceit that four years of college are necessary for everyone, and looks down its nose at people who don’t have college degrees.
This has to stop. Young people need an alternative. That alternative should be a world-class system of vocational-technical education.
